Revision of Passenger Service Facility Charge (PSFC) of International Terminal Building
In order to solve the problem of facility limitations brought about by the increase in the number of passengers, the International Terminal Building of New Chitose Airport has started the facilities reconstruction (extension and rebuilding) project since Nov. 2017. After nearly two years of construction, in late Oct. this year, the construction of passenger service facility will be completed.
With this project, the scale of the facilities will be increased to more than 2 times, and the facilities such as the lobby, the waiting room, the concourse and other facilities to be used by passengers will be greatly expanded. At the same time, a number of facilities for passengers to smoothly handle the boarding procedures will be introduced. As the convenience and comfort will be greatly improved, we will revise PSFC as follows to cover a part of the cost for the equipment input for the original and reconstructed facilities and its maintenance.
In addition, due to the raised consumption tax rate that will be take effect on Oct. 1, 2019, it’s decided to revise PSFC of International Terminal Building as follows.
In the future, in order to further enhance the convenience and comfort of the terminal building, the company will also make efforts to improve safety and service, and we will do our best to give back the confidence that passengers have given to the airport.

1. Amount of PSFC (including consumption tax)

※Adults are 12 years old or older, and children are aged between 2 and 12.
Passengers under the age of 2 will not be charged, but the children’s charge standard is applicable if the seat (ticket) is used by a child under the age of 2.
In addition, the adult charge standard is applicable when an adult ticket is used by a child under the age of 12.
2. Charging method
For passengers who depart from the International Terminal Building of New Chitose Airport, they will be charged when purchasing the tickets.
3. Reference date of ticket issuance
For charge revision caused by reconstruction of the International Terminal Building and the consumption tax rate to be raised, it shall be applicable for passengers using tickets issued and departing from New Chitose Airport after Oct. 1, 2019. Passengers have their tickets issued before that day, regardless of the departure date, will be charged under the current charge standard.
